Catnip and PetSmart Charities TNR Program a Success
The free roaming cat spay and neuter program funded by a grant from PetSmart Charities successfully concluded in June. Over the course of 10 months a total of 197 feral and free roaming cats were spayed or neutered and given rabies vaccinations and an ear tip. Catnip wishes to extend a special thanks to the veterinarians who participated, Dr. Richard Rosebrock and Dr. Eileen Bissmeyer. We also wish to thank Sherri’s Creative Framing for acting as a central location for the distribution and return of the animal traps used in the program, and all those individuals who trapped and brought cats to the clinics. Thanks to your efforts, there will be fewer unwanted kittens roaming the neighborhoods of Mariposa and the nearby areas.
On a separate note, Catnip needs someone to keep its website up to date. The task involves taking digital pictures of the cats currently available for adoption and writing short articles about Catnip activities and sending them to our webmaster. Anyone interested should phone 209 966-3170.
BOTTLE FEEDERS NEEDED!
CAN YOU BE OUR FOSTER PARENT?
We have an on-going need for help with bottle feeding orphan kittens. We often rescue momma cats with babies, and the family needs a foster home until they are able to be adopted. We also have older cats that may need a temporary foster home.
